Inverting the Mass Manufacturing Paradigm
Manufacturing at Scale: Achieving affordable mass requires moving beyond traditional, low-volume aerospace methods. Fixed-wing drones are often built with composites or additive manufacturing -approaches that work for prototypes and niche runs but collapse under the weight of true scale. Hand layup is labor-intensive, curing is slow, molds are costly, and large-scale 3D printing simply cannot keep pace with demand beyond a few hundred units a year.
Built for High-Rate Production: Purple Rhombus designs every platform around the end goal: high-rate, affordable production. Our airframes are purpose-built for sheet metal forming, plastic injection molding, and robotic assembly - processes proven across the existing U.S. industrial base to deliver thousands of units quickly and consistently. No fragile composites. No custom tooling delays. No years-long ramp for new factories.
Agile and Adaptable: Through our parent company Wilder Industries and our sister company Hughes Brothers Aircrafters, we’ve merged aerospace pedigree with modern manufacturing for in-house vertical integration. This foundation lets us scale production immediately, while retaining design flexibility to adapt to evolving missions. The result: combat-ready drones, built at speed, using the existing U.S. industrial base - ready before the fight begins.
